It's really hard to tell from the documentation whether you can upgrade an
already upgraded version of Office 2003 to Office 2007. My guess would be
yes, though. I would be astonished if Office 2007's installation routines
could even detect the difference. Furthermore, maintaining the upgrade path
makes good marketing sense for Microsoft.
As long as you maintain all of the back versions you can keep on upgrading.
Please note that you need to keep those old versions and sometimes that
becomes difficult when they are on a format that your computer doesn't
accept (like floppies).
Yes, a full package or upgrade CD from an Office 2003 product will be accepted by the CD for an Office 2007 product version during
installation. http://office.microsoft.com/suites
An Office 97 CD/diskette would not be recognized as a qualifying upgrade product.
