Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Does NO upgrades for H & S mean NO upgrades or just Service Packs and or Version upgrades (2004 to 2008)? What about incremental upgrades - i.e. 11.5 to 11.6 - will they install on the H & S version?

Also, if a person buys a registered copy of MS Office that is being resold, Is that copy able to be upgraded by the new owner? Thank you. Allen

Upgrade...move from Office X to Office 2004 or Office 2008; move from Office
2004 to Office 2008. You must purchase a retail copy of Office in order to
upgrade.

For example, you have Office X or Office 2004 and want to upgrade to Office
2008. You must purchase the new version of Office.

Home & Student versions are priced so low that they never qualify for
upgrades unless it's a special offer.

Update...You can update for free any version of Office. An update includes
improvements for that version.

For example, you purchased Office 2008. Since it's release, Microsoft has
released several free updates. Currently, there are two combo updaters.
12.1.0 and 12.2.0

These apply to all version of Office.
Also, if a person buys a registered copy of MS Office that is being resold, Is
that copy able to be upgraded by the new owner? Thank you. Allen

Yes, but they must remove it from their computer. I would not trust anyone
to sell me a copy that I did not know. There are people on ebay selling the
same numbers and these will end up getting blocked. You might have seen all
the noise about product keys no longer working. Most knew they were using
illegal keys but other bought off ebay thinking they had purchased legally.

It's also illegal to sell one of the 3 CD keys for H&S too.

Home & Student version new on Amazon: $104.99
