Upgrade Question

I have a very old copy of Visio (5.0) and I purchased a version of Visio 2000
Upgrade with the understanding that I could upgrade from old to 2000. The
Problem is that when I run the upgrade it wants a serial number from my old
version which I don't think ever had one. What do I do?

Any thoughts would be appreciated

The serial number was usually printed on the CD sleeve. I'm not sure what
to do if you no longer have it.

I have the CD sleeve. It has VISIO Technical 5.0 on it but I can't find a
serial number anywhere on the sleeve.
