Upgrade Question

I have just purchased a brand new desktop. I am a
registered Office 2000 user (with disks and product key),
but Office 2000 is on my OLD computer. I would like to
upgrade to Office XP on my NEW computer (at the upgrade
price) but DO NOT want to clutter my new desktop with the
old Office 2000 just to prove I am a registered user and
qualify for the upgrade. Is there any way to install the
upgrade on the NEW computer WITHOUT loading Office 2000?

Thanks very much!

Just "show" Office XP the CD when it asks to view the qualifying product -
you do not have to have it installed. Just pop the CD in when prompted, it
will be verified, take it out and pop back in the XP install CD and away you
go.
