Upgrade Question

CHayes

I currently have Windows XP Home Edition. I need to upgrade my software to
include Microsoft Access, Microsoft Powerpoint, and Microsoft Excel. What
software package should I purchase? I reviewed the packages on Office 2003
website and found them to be rather expensive. Are ther any discounts for
graduate students? Do I have to purchase the office professional edition
package or could I purchase the upgrade?

Thanks for your help.

This is a newsgroup dedicated to Microsoft Project. You are better
served by looking at Microsoft's web site about Office at
http://www.microsoft.com/office.

That being said ... You also should visit the univesity bookstore (or
other local resources) to see if you qualify for a Student version of
Office. This is also discussed on the web site and has a massive
discount (but license limitations). Office isn't the only product out
there. Star Office is moderately priced, and it has a free open source
version available for download at www.openoffice.org.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
