Upgrade small business office when asked for cd of prof version.

I installed Office2000 Small Business on my used computer. When I attempt to
install upgrades, I get to a point when I am asked for a cd from the
Professional version of Office. Upgrade process is halted when I am informed
that the cd I insert is NOT appropriate for the Professional version of
Office.

Check in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel to see what Office edition(s) are listed.

I found 2000 Professional, 2000 Small Business and 2000 Disc 2 listed as
versions of Office I have installed. Thank you for your help.

Hi fobrien1,

If you have the MS Offfice 2000 Professional Edition already
installed may not be much gain from the Office 2000 Small Business
Edition. (Disc 2 has MS Publisher 2000). If you don't
have the Office Professional Edition CD you may want to consider
removing it after backing up your files, then restart the PC and
install the Small Business Edition. But, if it's all working correctly...
