I was a student and bought the home and student edition now I am no longer
a
student and want to run the standard edition can I upgrade/crossgrade or
do I
have to buy a full version of office standard 2007?
The Home and Student version is a qualifier for the "upgrade" to Office 2007
Standard. See
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/suites/FX101754511033.aspx,
scroll down and look in right column for qualifying products.
You may want to look into Office 2007 Small Business instead of Standard as
it MAY be bought for less money and it does include more (Publisher, Outlook
with Business Contact Manager, instead of just Outlook, and Accounting
Express) and still has all the other software that Standard has in it.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/FX101635841033.aspx for a look at
the included programs for each version.
Amazon has the standard for around $207 but Small Business for $197.
Unfortunately you just missed the real sale on the upgrade version of Small
Business ($149.)
