Upgrade to 2003 or wait for 2007

We are currently using 2002 for a few projects and after reading about 2003
I was thinking about trying to convince my management to get 2003, but now
that 2007 has been announce I am wondering if we would be better off waiting
for it. Any thoughts, suggestions or recommendations?

Dean:

Convince your management to purchase Software Assurance on the licenses so
that this isn't an issue for you in the future. Skipping versions always
runs the risk of not having a smooth upgrade path. We don't know whether
Microsoft will provide easy upgrades from both 2002 and 2003 at this time.
