Upgrade to 2003/VB issues

I just upgraded from Office 2002 Pro to 2003 Pro and immediately it informed
me that it didn't like my Acrobat 5.0. I uninstalled Acrobat, including
renaming the pdfmaker files for each application to the .old extension, but
am now having popups with each application and on Windows shutdown that there
is a Visual Basic issue with the exe file (and a couple of others within
applications). I have done a repair installation on Office 2003 and have not
installed a new Adobe product yet.

I did read the thread on VB.exe, but it pertained to 2000, unless I was
missing something.

Any thoughts?

I have a Google toolbar installed but not active. Today (after the problem
was already occurring), I put in a Comcast toolbar. It did not affect either
positively or negatively, the occurrance of the VB errors.

And the answer is ... drum roll please ...

Install the newer version of Acrobat and all your problems go away.
Apparently there are shared VB files that were deleted in the uninstall.
