Upgrade to 2007

Is it possible to upgrade directly from Access 1997 to Access 2007? I suspect
not. What procedure would be involved in transferring my data from 1997 to
Microsoft Office 2007 which has Access 2007?

It shouldn't be an issue.

You should be able to import the tables from an Access 97 MDB into an Access
2007 MDB or ACCDB.

File... Get External Data... Import. Navigate to the A97 (or A95, or Access

This is not really an upgrade -- you're not converting the A97
database to A97. You're just importing.

Hi John,

File... Get External Data... Import. Navigate to the A97 (or A95, or Access
2.0) database and import.

If only it was this easy...remember, the person asked about Access 2007,
which has no menu system. So, instead, she'll have to start by using the
External Data tab on the ribbon:

External Data | Import Group ---> Click on "Access"
