Upgrade to Office 2003

D

David Brown

I currently use Windows XP, Office 2000 Small Business,
and Publisher 2000 w/ Draw 98.
I have some issues with Publisher and Draw 98 tools that I
believe got solved in the Publisher News Group. Part of
the solution is upgrading to Publisher 2003. Specifically
because of it's,'Escher Shared Drawing Tools from the rest
of Office'. Since I use other programs in office such as
word, excel, and Internet Explorer, as well as use some of
these programs with drawing tools; I believe that I should
upgrade to another Office programm.
Question 1: Is there an Office programm that includes
these, 'Escher Shared Drawing Tools', Publisher 2003,
Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and Explorer. If so which
one? If not please suggest.
Question 2: Is it possible that I could be entitled to
this new Office as a free upgrade from my current version,
or am I out of my mind?
Best Regards,
David Brown

I thought we were ditching MS and switching to Adobe...? As for the free
upgrade - you are completely out your tree. The free upgrade applied if you
purchased Office XP before the end of November - you want Office 2003 now,
you have to cough up...

The Office 2003 Pro edition contains Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and
Powerpoint; Publisher is a standalone application that has to be purchased
separately. Internet Explorer in included in the XP operating system, so
you have that already.

Your out of your mind.

Thanks Epona,
I know, I am eating crow. Actually, your reply, closed the
door before it even had a chance to hit me in the ass. I
do appreciate your reply in spite of my whinning. I also
agree with you regarding learning curve on Adobe products.
All said, MS has served me well until this problem with
draw. I am purchasing office 03 today, as well as
publisher 03. Ed, (The nerd), was an invaluable help to me
on the Publisher Newsgroup.
However, this January 04 includes a computer system upgrade
for me. I'm pulling out the stops and getting The Mother
of All Computers with the intention of running the Adobe
products for my graphics that are beginning to get more
complicated. I'm hoping that the office and publisher
upgrade will nurse me through that horrid learning curve.
Best Regards for a Prosperous 2004

I got Office 2003 Pro Enterprise edition for free for
attending the launch! Plus Bill Gates bought us all lunch.
