Upgrade to Office 2008 a good idea?

I see it has very poor reviews on amazon and some say to stick with 2004.
2004 is a bit more sluggish on the intel mac than it was under Tiger on the
PPC. Is it a good idea to upgrade? I am a basic user.

Office 2011 should be out soon.... Not sure whether it wouldn't be
wiser to wait until then.
You would get a free upgrade, but I suspect you'd still have to pay for
shipping.

I bought 2008 a couple-three months ago (before 2011 was announced).

I got tired of converting all the docx docs clients were sending.

Entourage crashes frequently opening some emails (a well known problem,
but still no fix)

2004 was fine and stable and I'm not noticing any substantial speed
difference between the two. It might open slightly faster.
