Upgrade to Outlook 2007 Issue

Just upgraded to Outlook 2007 and when I look in the deleted folder,
there are no emails there but it shows that there are over 2000 unread
messages in the folder, I just can't see them. If I do a search they
all show up. Any idea why this is happening, this is the only folder
that I am having a problem with and when I click on the deleted folder
it takes a LONG time for it to open. How can I fix this? The user
frequently goes back to deleted emails and this is a real problem for

What view of Deleted Items is he using? Make sure he's using the Messages
view and that it is unfiltered.
