I am currently dual booting windows 7 and vista. how can I install ms office
in windows 7 without violating my license agreement? I'm installing it on the
same computer but I have a feeling microsoft will detect it as an invalid
activation key.

Depends on your version.
If a Retail version you can have an install on one primary device and one
portable. If your computer is a laptop, and you haven't got it installed on
any other machine then you may well be OK...
