upgrade version of Office 2007

I tried office 2007, and bought the ungrade of the CDs to install after
removing the trial version. I have works6.0 and office 2000-both allowable
for upgrade- but setup says it cannot find a version of Microsoft Office on
my computer. Works and Office 2000 were used on my old desktop before I
scrapped it, and put works and office 2000 on my laptop

No need to repost, its not a chat room.

Theres no need to install qualifyng version you just need cd available to
point to when the 2007 complains

When I got laptop, works 08 was installed on it, and I put on Office 2000.
Nothing I try works. I have tried reinstalling and showing the Cd for each.
Do I need to buy new Works 8 with product key?
