When upgrading from Word 2001 (OS 9.2.2) to Word X (OS
10.3.2), I'm wondering if the new Normal.dot file will
still keep all my customized keyboard and menu settings,
as well as AutoCorrect lists, custom dictionaries, etc.
Somewhere else on this website, it says: "The first time
Word X starts, Word automatically upgrades the Normal
template, the Address Book (if you are upgrading from Word
98 or an earlier version), custom dictionaries,
AutoCorrect lists, preferences, and AutoText entries from
earlier versions stored on either the Mac OS 9 volume or
the same volume as Word X."
Does that automatic upgrade save the old Word settings or
not?
Thanks,
David
