Upgraded 2000 to 2007 Office. All contacts and save e-mails gone

Upgraded from 2000 to 2007. All of my contacts and saved e-mails are gone.
I'm assuming there is something I can do to get this info back. Thanks.

"Upgraded?" Outlook does not support upgrade installations especially when
skipping multiple versions. Outlook must be installed clean.
Your data is still there. Just create a new Outlook profile. Then open the
Outlook data file you carefully backed up before you started down this wrong
path. If you failed to back up your data, then just search for your previous
Outlook data file and open it in your new installation.
