Upgraded to ON 2007 Beta--but printer still set up on ON 2003

T

Tom D.

On my Windows XP Tablet Edition, I upgraded to OneNote 2007 Beta--but
printer still set up on OneNote 2003. I can open ON 2007 by itself, but I
cannot print webpages or MS Word/PowerPoint to ON 2007, as the printer only
gives me ON 2003 as a choice.
Even when I did try to print on ON 2003, it said that I need to install
SP1 for ON 2003. I did try to install SP1 for 2003, but ended up with an
error message that said I don't have the right version (ON 2003) for this SP1
to install.
Bottom line: how do I get I.E. 7.0 and MS programs to "change" printer
setting from OneNote 2003 to ON 2007 Beta, which Beta is already installed
and replaced ON 2003?
Thanks-- Tom

Remove all of Office 2007 (incl. OneNote), then remove the ON 2003
PowerToy Send to OneNote.
Then reinstall all Office 2007 apps as Beta 2, then patch again to B2TR.

I removed ON 2003 power toys and reinstalled OneNote 2007. I can now print
from PowerPoint to OneNote, but if there are multiple slides they all print
to the same page of OneNote. The PowerPoint print options no longer (as they
did in Send to OneNote 2003) have the option to print one slide per page.
This is totally unworkable for taking notes in class. Today's class, for
example, is 42 slides. They need to be on separate pages. Does anyone know
if Microsoft is working on this?

Note that I only installed OneNote2007, not all of Office 2007 (because as a
student I can't afford to upgrade all of Office, only OneNote!).

You'll have to get used to it. The feature you are looking for doesn't
exist in 2007. 42 slides fit on one page and you can just scroll down...

Thanks for the response. It's too bad this feature is not available.
OneNote 2007 is a great program and most of what I needed was done
wonderfully in this new version. But without the ability to put slides on
different pages, there is no way to organize all that information. Way too
unwieldy. I will have to copy each slide, one-by-one, to individual pages,
or go back to OneNote 2003. Probably I will do the latter.

I would encourage you to try it out for a while. Other users who posted
here that they hated this missing feature posted back later on saying
that they got used to not having it.

Patrick--

Regarding to my earlier question in this thread, thanks and your suggestion
worked. Mainly I had to load the B2TR in order for the print to to ON 2007
Beta from a webpage or MS Word/PowerPoint, which I hadn't before as I had
some concern about loading B2TR. ON 2007 Beta has quite a few improvements
which I appreciate over the ON 2003.

Thanks again,
Tom

IMO returning to ON 2003 would be a really bad decision. You'd just
miss too much.

I'm with you that an option on how to print (all on one page or
separate pages) would urgently be needed.
Pleas post in Connect:
