I was using Office 97. From previous discussions and
trial and error, I stayed away from using Master
Documents. It doesn't work if your sub-documents have
different page orientations (landscape to portrait and
vice-a- versa). Office binder in 97 suited my needs for
page numbering sub-documents.
My company has upgraded to Office XP. Office binder
doesn't exist in this version, and from reading a few
messages on this forum, it doesn't sound like Master
Documents has improved. Merging the documents into one
file would be one bigggggggggggggggg pain to accomplish
consecutive page numbering.
Does anyone know if there is some alternative to Office
Binder in Office XP to accomplish page numbering easily?
You would think Microsoft would solve this type of issue
since it appears that many people would benefit by having
a program that would allow consecutive page numbering for
multipe documents.
TIA
