I've installed an Outlook 2002 upgrade from a CD which
came with a smart phone. The installation was onto
Office 2000 Small business which already had a
professional upgrade plus several (3)service packs.
Outlook appears to be working but there are a
some 'features' - for example on occasions I get the @
symbol will not work when typing in Outlook but does work
in Word. Reloading the application cures the problem.
Also, at times when in any application the mouse pointer
will wander of its own accord across the screen.
It may be that during the installation the software was
expecting a CD for the service packs but as these were
installed sometime ago directly from the MS website this
was not possible to do this.
Rather than rebuild the whole pc is it OK to uninstall
the whole of MS office and then reinstall it?. I recall
that it is not possible to remove a service pack?
When reinstalling if I download each of the service packs
is it OK to save these to CD for future use?
Thanks
