Upgrading Advice

For many years, I have been using Publisher 97 with Windows 95, without
problem. Unfortunately, the time has come to upgrade, which at my age (and
the fact that I am basically a Luddite), will involve a lot more than just a
steep learning curve.

I will be upgrading to Windows XP and Publisher 2003.

If anybody can remember Publisher 97, do they think I will have many poblems
integrating my Publisher 97 files?

Also, I have a website created in Publisher at http://www.songwriter.co.uk/
and exported to the web using the Publisher Web Wizard.

The only (minor) problem I have had with this was that if I made a change to
just one page for example, the entire site had to be uploaded again using
the Web Wizard. Will this problem be solved by Publisher 2003?

I have used this forum before to solve problems, and realise that the above
is a very vague query, but I would appreciate any advice.

You should have no problems opening your Publisher 97 files in 2003 - the
only issue may be that WordArt may change (or become uneditable)

This issue was fixed in Publisher 2003.

Well at least you have missed all the dud versions of Publisher between
Publisher 97 and Publisher 2003.
I and many others still run Publisher 97 along with Publisher 2003 on the
same computer without any issues.

I find Windows XP great, but do run the menus and Explorer in what the call
Windows Classic mode, otherwise the menus etc. will drive you bonkers.

How is me mate/friend Murphy doing?
