Upgrading computer and re-installing Office

My daughter has Office XP for Students and Teachers on
our computer at home. I am buying her a new upgraded
computer for college and want to install it on that
machine. Can it be done, and if so, how?

Read your Office for Students and Teachers EULA. Open any Office product,
click on "Help->About", and click on the "View the End-User License
Agreement".

If I'm not mistaken, the Office for Students and Teachers EULA is much like
the OEM Eula, which does not allow for the transference of a license from
machine to machine. I hope I am mistaken.

But I do believe it is licensed for up to 3 machines... as lest my copy of
Office 2003 Student/Teacher edition says so.. --

So I would think you are okay.

You should be able to uninstall it from the old computer and reinstall
on the new one since Office XP Student and Teachers is licensed to one
computer. You'll probably need to use the Telephone Activation and
explain the transfer.
