Upgrading from 2003 to 2007: Marco feature not working

Michael

We are upgrading 25 client copies of MS Project 2003 Standard to MS Project
2007 Standard. The install seemed to go fine however on two of the six
machines I have tested so far the macro feature will not work. I cannot
create a new macro, run an old macro, if I go to organizer I can't copy into
the modules options, Global.MPT is in the correct folder and is updating
(though I am not sure what).

I have tried upgrading from 2003 to 2007, uninstalling everything and then
installing 2007. I have tried two different installation disks. I have used a
disk that I know is successful on one machine, yet when I use it on the
problem machine it won't work.

Before we reimage the machines, I wanted to ask if anyone had any other
suggestions.

Thanks,

Michael Morgan

Hi Michael,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Let's start with ensuring you have the latest SP1 and architecture updates
installed. Then have a look at the security setting in
Tools/Macro/Security, and select a lesser severity.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Mike,
Yes I have updated to SP1 and have Macro Security set to Low. I not sure
what you mean by architecture update.
