Upgrading from FP 98 to FP 2003

J

Joe S.

I am running FP 98; have three webs that were made using FP 98. I ordered a
full version -- not upgrade -- of FP 2003.

What problems am I likely to encounter in upgrading? I assume I just put
the CD in the drive and follow the prompts -- it will overwrite FP 98 with
FP 2003, bring along my existing webs, etc. Or -- has MS thrown in a few
quirks that will screw up everything?

Thanks.

Everything should be fine, as long as your OS is Windows 2000 Pro or Windows XP Home/Pro, as FP2003
will not install on anything less.

Note
If you theme you may need to upgrade some of them

Thanks to all -- I am running WinXP Home with latest updates.

Yes, I do use themes. I'll check the referenced web page to see what
surprises await me.

I'm certain that if anything goes wrong I'll find the help I need here.

Thanks.

Uninstall PWS (if installed from FP98), as it is not supported under WinXP Home
- you will be limited to local disc based webs in any version of FP
