I work in a large corporation and am testing the upgrade from Office 2003 to
Office 2007. I am finding a problem with Outlook .pst files.
I'm using the OCT to set some default values & settings. I'm putting the
..msp in the Updates folder and installing Office through a small batch file
that runs setup & points to my config.xml file.
Here is where my problem arises:
Within OCT under Outlook profile setting - if I choose "Modify Profile",
"New Profile", or "Apply PRF", my .PST that was in Outlook 2003 does not
migrate. Yes, I have "Migrate User Settings" selected. I can add in my .PST
after but that isn't something we can do here for 500+ users with .PST's.
When I select "Use Existing Profile", my .PST WILL migrate and show up in
Outlook 2007. However, I'd like to use a .prf so users will not see the
StartUp Wizard if there is no profile on that pc.
Any suggestions or other options I have here? I'm trying to make this
install with as little user-intervention as possible.
Thanks
