Hi,
I have version 4.2.1 on Microsoft Office. Can I use the upgrade version
of Office 2004 for Mac to upgrade this version?
Thanks. Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, the earliest version eligible for upgrade is Office 98.

However, you may be able to find a copy of Office 98 or 2001 pretty
cheap on Ebay, at a user group, university store, or even an apple
store, where they may know of people updating their systems. If so, you
could then upgrade, with the total cost being less than a new version.

Thank you for your help. Actually, version 4.2.1 was fine for me until
I upgraded to OS 9.2. At that point I could no longer pull down the
Excel commands in the menu bar and thus lost control of the
software. The same thing happened when I went to OS 10.2.8. Well that's
the way it goes. Thank you anyway for your advice.
