upgrading from student licence

Greetings - I currently have Office 2000 Professional bought on the student
licence process, but I'm no longer a student. If I buy an Office XP
professional upgrade, will my student version be recognised as a valid
product to upgrade from?

technically yes, but since you are not a student anymore, you don1t have any
legal right to use the upgrade base so you can't use the new version...
