Upgrading hardware with activated software

Is it true that you can “move†your copy of MS Office XP to a new computer if you follow the following steps?

First uninstall Office from your old machine. (Somehow Microsoft will know that you’ve done this.)

Second install the software on your new machine.

Third call a phone number, which will be revealed to you during installation (step 2).

Microsoft won't know you removed the software from your old machine, but you
will...and as an honest person, you will only want to have the software
installed on one machine at a time, as per the EULA :) Also, you can try
the Internet activation method when you have installed the software on the
new machine...it may work if you haven't activated it too recently, or too
many times. If it doesn't work, it will tell you to call Microsoft to
activate it instead, and when you call them, you can tell them that you
bought a new machine and have moved the software there. Shouldn't be a
problem.
