Hello.

Since MS Office 2008 was launched I have, like many others, had the problem with the message: Upgrading Identity / Upgrading messages.
It seems that there is no good solution on the problem and when you at MS are asked, you just reefer to pages with possible solutions. Those solutions doesn't work and the users keep telling you that. I can't understand that you at MS doesn't take this problem serious. I have a iMac with MS Office 2008 and two user accounts. I started out with at trial version for one month before I bought the program and since I have this problem once in a while. Sometimes that dialog is present for five seconds and sometimes it is for five minutes and the computer slow down.
I don't know if you Diane Ross is a robot, because every time you are asked a question on this subject, you have the same answers, regardless that the users say it doesn't fix anything. You keep saying that only a handful of users have reported this problem. That is maybe true because when people are asking you about a problem, you doesn't take them serious and just put the same old record on again.

I have tried all your solutions and none of them works.

I can't understand why MS can afford not to take this serious. You have made a piece of software that doesn't work properly. Now the problem have existed for over a year. See to that you fix it, and don't forget why you exists as a big company.

You're not speaking to Microsoft here. We are your peers who also use
the product.

Please be sure to let Microsoft know how you feel by using the Help -->

As Bill explained, we are not Microsoft. We are your peers and volunteer our
time here to help other users. If the solutions we have found do not work
for you, have you tried to reinstall Office. This is often the only way to
fix some issues.
I don't know if you Diane Ross is a robot, because every time you are asked a

You will not believe how many people never bother to search and ask the same
questions over and over. I can only give you the links to what we know. If I
didn't spend my time to post the known solutions you would have nothing. Try
calling Microsoft support and pay them to give you help.
I have tried all your solutions and none of them works.

Did you try a re-install? If yes, did you use "Remove Office" or drag to
trash?
I can't understand why MS can afford not to take this serious. You have made a
piece of software that doesn't work properly. Now the problem have existed for
over a year. See to that you fix it, and don't forget why you exists as a big

You'll have to address Microsoft on this. Personally, doing free support for
a product that has all these install issues is a nightmare.
