Upgrading Office XP -> 2003 - overcome 2GB .pst file?

Hi there,

We are rapidly approaching the 2GB file size limit in Outlook 2002 (XP)

I did read that with Office 2003 upwards you could overcome this limit.

I am guessing the .pst is stored in a different way so I was wondering if
there is a resource that describes how best to upgrade with this in mind?

Our Outlook folder structure is quite large and we do not want to lose any
messages nor spend hours reconfiguring after installation so any
hints/tips/gotcha's would be appreciated.

Any other issues that we should be aware of when upgrading the entire Office
Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher etc.

Once you have upgraded to 2003, create a new (2003-type) PST file, then
copy (drag-and-drop) all data (folders, etc) from the old Personal
Folders file to the new one. It is advisable to make a backup of the old
file (while Outlook is closed!) before you begin the process.

While Pat's advice is good, I'd be more inclined to simply use a new PST
after the upgrade, but open the old one as well for reference.
