Upgrading to 2003

I am trying to upgrade from 2000 to 2003, and each time I
do, it tells me I need SP3. I installed SR-1, the SP3,
and the installer stills tells me I need SP3. Any ideas

Are you using Windows 2000 which requires Windows 2000 SP3 to install Office
2003?

If you meant Office 2000, however, it is advised you to perform a clean
installation - based on my experience.

I installed Office 2003 Pro on two different systems, one is a new system
with a clean installation and the second one is a current system with Office
XP installed.

The one with clean installation runs everything smoothly, but the upgraded
on - although upgrade process is fast and easy - got all kinds of small
problems here and there. I cannot even run Office Update after upgrade.

Good luck

You need to be using WINDOWS 2000 SP-3. This is the patch it is referring
to, not the one for Office.
