Upgrading to Office 2003

we am upgrading to Office 2003 using the administrative
install with the custom install wizard and Office Profile
Wizard to customize the installion. The problem is I
can't customize the view in Outlook. For example taking
away the Reading pane, etc. (we are trying to standardize
the install and I don't want to have to manual change the
settings) Can anyone help?

There is no admin tool for standardizing Outlook views. It's a much requested feature and you can add your vote by emailing (e-mail address removed) and (e-mail address removed).

Oh, you can block use of the Reading Pane by starting Outlook with the /nopreview switch. But why would you want to?

Mainly for security reasons.
Thanks, I will email microsoft about the view wish.

I found the /nopreview to be effective in removing the annoying "Reading
Pane". It would seem more logical if the scope of the "View->Reading
Pane->Off setting" process could be modified by the selected level in the
folders view. That way a user could turn of the "Reading Pane" for all of
their personal folders easily and selectively turn on the "Reading Pane" on
those folder of interest.
