upgrading to Office 2007 Professional Plus lost BCM

I

Iamagoa

I have recently upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007 Professional Plus.
This was the recommended upgrade by our IT dept.

1. Is there anyway I can get BCM back after upgrading from Office 2003 to
2007 Professional Plus? I don't mind paying for a seperate BCM (well I do
mind but will if I have to), but repaying for Outlook 2007 as well in not on.

2. Why did the install fail to warn me that I was loosing such a heavily
used tool?

3. Why does Professional 'PLUS' miss a key feature than normal bog standard
professional has?

4. How has Microsoft managed to screw this up so badly and piss off so many
business users?

Can anyone answer question 1 above please, the others are more rants. Surely
a simple download BCM button on the Outlook 2007 page would make sense, even
if some cost was attached.

BCM comes only with specific Office suites. See
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/suites/FX101635841033.aspx
BCM in included only with the "Small Business", "Professional", and
"Ultimate" suites. Your suite (Professional Plus) does not include the
right to use BCM.

Because installs assume you've done your research first.
3. Why does Professional 'PLUS' miss a key feature than normal bog
standard professional has?

Because that's the way Microsoft decided to package the suites.
4. How has Microsoft managed to screw this up so badly and piss off

What makes you think they've done that? How many other business users have
you surveyed?

The only way I know to get BCM back is to buy a version of Office that
includes it, to specifically buy Outlook 2007 with BCM as a standalone
product, or to uninstall the 2007 suite, reinstall Outlook from the old
suite, then reinstall the new suite excluding Outlook. You'll then have a
mixed-version suite and that may cause its own set of headaches.
