upgrading to office pro from office ste

Hi,

I am trying to use an upgrade version of Office 2003 Pro, with a prior
version of Office 2003 Student teacher edition. According to Microsoft
the STE is upgradable.

The upgrade version is unable to find either the installed STE or the
disk inserted in a second CD drive.

Is there a problem that I don't know about and is there a solution for
this puzzler?

Office 2003 does not support cross-grades (using one 2003 edition to
change to another 2003 edition). When you say "According to
Microsoft...", what is the source of your information?
