Dear all,
I am no doubt being rather dense here, if not actually lazy...
At the behest of a number of you, I am looking into upgrading my Word
from v.X to 2004. I am looking to buy an upgrade package to save some
money.
What I have now is MS Office v.X Professional and I seem to have
various upgrade options. Ideally, I should be looking at either MS
Office 2004 Professional or MS Office 2004 Standard, but I'm inclined
to go for the cheapest option of only upgrading Word. Here are my
questions:
1. Are there any potential problems with only upgrading Word? E.g.
conflicts between Word 2004 and Office v.X components? (I use
PowerPoint, Excel and Entourage in addition to Word)
2. Is there any difference between Word 2004 "Professional" and
"Standard", i.e. that bundled in the Office suites Pro and Std?
3. Any advice on the best way to perform the upgrade once I've bought
it?
Many thanks.
