Upgrading with new Operating system

Hello -

I just received a new PC that has xp on it. I have Visio
2002 Standard Upgrade - but I believe I need to install a
previous complete version which I have (visio 5.0).

From the research that I have done so far, it appears
that xp and 5.0 are not compatible. I need to use the
2002 version ASAP and would like some
assistance/suggestions.

What will happen if I install 5.0 and then install 2002?

I've heard some people have run Visio 5 just fine on XP, others have not.

But you shouldn't have to actually install the older version-- run the
upgrade install for 2002 and, if it's like typical MS programs, it will
prompt for the older CD at some point.
