Upload to MS-access

Johan DW

Hello,

In the old Project it was possible to upload the complete database to
MS-Access. This was used to automate the some reportings. Now I installed
Project 2007, because of the better reports, but I see that the function to
upload all data to MS-Access is not there.

Did I do something wrong (wrong version?) or how to do it?

Thanks,

Johan.

Hello Johan,

You can save the data in the reporting database to Access through
the Visual Reports. Click the Save Data button in the Visual
Reports dialog and then click the Save database button on the
"Visual Reports - Save Reporting Data" dialog.

The ability to save a project file as an Access db as you did with
2003, is no longer in Project 2007.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hello Julie,

In access I did some modifications (adding data from ERP) and opened the
Project file from the acess database. So it was a bi-directional. This is
something that I loss? Is there an other solution?

Best regards,

Johan.

Yes,

Project 2007 does not open from a database. You need to replace that
functionality with VBA code or write an add-in.
