Uploading a community template?

J

Jonathan

Hello,

I'm trying to upload a community template that has macros enabled (.xltm)
however it's telling me that it's not valid file extension. Are we not
allowed to upload macro enabled templates?

Thanks,

Jonathan

Here's an excerpt from the guidelines:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/HA102373631033.aspx#6
"Please contact your Microsoft representative before submitting templates
with macros. As a security measure, templates containing macros must be
reviewed and digitally signed by Microsoft before they can be published
online; templates that have been digitally signed by third parties cannot be
published and should be submitted without a digital signature."

As for who your Microsoft representative is, I'll ping someone and see if I
can find out more.

I received an update on this question: Community submitted templates do not
allow macros for security reasons. The content I cited was from the
guidelines for Microsoft Partners only.
