Uploading my web page

Aquinas

I have been pretty much flying by my pants for the last couple of months
creating a web page and tonight I would like to host. But instead of just
winging it and truly messing everything up, I would like to see if there is a
step by step method. Like I know I need to turn on frontpage extensions, do
I do that before or after I upload. If it helps, I am hosting with
parcom.net...Any help appreciated.

You need to enable your account first to support the FP extensions. You host should provide you with
instructions.

The you open your local site (File Menu | Open Site and the you use File Menu | Publish Site and
enter the URL in the folder box as http://www.domainname.com then your login info, then click OK.

If you just set up your domain name, you may need to wait up to 72 hours before your can use it.

I enabled the FP extensions. But when I go to the remote website page in
frontpage and load everything, it never connects. my page is
www.thesartelles.com. What have I done wrong?

You may need to check the control panel or directly with your web host to make sure you are using
the correct login info for publishing with FP, which can be different then uploading with a FTP
application.

You have to open you local site on your HD in FP via File Menu | Open Site, then once it is open,
then you can publish it to: http://www.thesartelles.com/
