uploading/publishing my web page?

Hi all, i'm trying to upload my web page but i cant seem to get past a
certain point??
Everything fine until........................ "Could not find a Web server
at 'ftp.mydomain.com' on port 21. Please check to make sure that the Web
server name is valid and your proxy settings are set correctly. If you are
sure that everything is correct, the Web server may be temporarily out of
service."
Now, im pretty sure everything ok except for the "port21 " and "proxy
settings" bit.
Do i have to change settings for my web host to except?? If so how??
All im trying to do is set up a web page for my football/soccer dream team.
Can any one help??

Does the server have FrontPage extensions??
If so, have you tried publishing to the http address??
http://www.websitename.com

Also, if you just set up the hosting account, it takes 24 to 48 hours for
the domain to become registered in the domain name server system.

Thank Steve,
it says it does have extensions. But i think you may be right with the 24hrs
answer.
I'll try again Monday,and let you know. Thanx for taking time to answer.

If the site has FP extensions, do NOT use FTP - FTP will corrupt the
extensions.
