upon starting outlook, i get the following message:

P

paul h.

the header is "Personal Folders". the message is: "The file C:\Documents and
Settings\[name]\Desktop\[filename].pst could not be found"

i merely have to cancel it and proceed with Outlook, but I'd like to stop it
from happening. The filename refers to an alternate calendar i once created
and obviously improperly removed. thanks for any help.

To get rid of the message, simply create a new mail profile and configure it
to use your current .pst file.

Check the properties of your Outlook profile. I don't know which version
of Outlook you are using, but you can go into the Control Panel and
double-click the Mail related applet and go on from there.

Not account, mail profile. Control Panel->Mail Icon->Profiles->New.

thank you both. creating a new profile was not necessary. here is what i
did: control panel>mail>show profiles>properties>data files, then removed
the offending "personal folder". works like a charm.
