Thanks JE:
Too convoluted for me, but have any idea why Excel does not offer this
simple function??

He mentioned fonts that are only uppercase. I tested lot those and they do
have upper and lower.

Kevs,

Excel does offer a simple function of upper. Simple place a formula in a
cell such as =upper(a1) and fill it down for the number of cells needed. You
can then copy this range and paste-special-values to itself or some other
place (like the original range) to remove the formulas.

"Microsoft cannot calculate a formula'

This is what comes up Bob when I put in the =upper(a1)

Also, in you have 10 columns, then would you not have to repeat that
procedure ten times?

That's the message I get when typing this in cell A1 itself. Try to refer to
another cell and see if things are better.

If you have that manu cells to convert, then you can copy the 10 columns,
paste them in Word, select all and change the wole lot ("Format" > "Change
Case..."). Then copy/paste special (values) them back to your Excel sheet.

Yeah:
I seemed to be getting that in every cell Bernard.

Great idea.

Is it not strange Excel does not offer this feature??
