Upright text regardless of line orientation

Paul

In Visio 2003, the labels on my lines are orientated in multiples of
90 degrees relative to the orientation of the line. I would like all
labels to be like regular text (read from left to right, top of the
letters oriented toward top of the drawing). How can this be done?

Thanks.

Hi Paul,

This sounds like a formula in the ShapeSheet, something like:

TxtAngle = Gravity(Angle, 120 deg, -60 deg)

This formula causes text to stay in-line with the shape's angle, but to
flip, such that the text is "always readable" from the bottom or right
side of the page. It reduces the noise on a drawing with lots of rotated
shapes.

I haven't yet gotten enough Visio under the belt to recognize
ShapeSheets yet, but I will poke around when I have access tomorrow.
Thanks!
