URGENT! Cannot import powerpoint presentation to windows movie ma

I can't import ppt to movie maker. I get error message: The file ( ) cannot
be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on
your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec,
close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.

I went to microsoft/Powerpoint and downloaded codec. Still won't work.
Don't understand codec, but NEED HELP ASAP.

Just want ppt to play on dvd/cd player.

MovieMaker doesn't import PPT files.

The error message and suggested remedy are silly. Useless. And stuff like
that.

You can instead open your presentation in PPT, do File, Save As and save to PNG
or JPG as the Save As type. Choose to save the whole presentation when asked.

You can then import the JPGs/PNGs into MovieMaker, apply effects/transitions and
export to a WMV.
