Urgent, cannot install project server 2007

Dear all,

when I reinstall the project server, the following errors occur when it was
running the wizard step 2 of 9:

One or more configuration settings failed. Completed configuration settings
will not be rolled back. Resolve the problem and run this configuration
wizard again. The following contains detailed information about the failure:

Failed to create the configuration database.

An exception of type System.Management.ManagementException was thrown.
Additional exception information: Initialization failure

It also include a log path but I can't see anything to debug in the log
content
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server
Extensions\12\LOGS\PSCDiagnostics_2_7_2009_9_45_25_984_1541742907.log

May I know if anyway has experience on that?

Hi Carlos,

the most likely explanation would be that the
service account you entered in the
"specify configuration database settings window"
doesn't actually have sufficient permission
to create databases on the sql server.
You can check this by logging on to the
sql server management studio using this
account and try to create a new
database.
