Urgent! Cannot re-install Microsoft Project Server 2007

Dear all,

when I reinstall the project server, the following errors occur when it was
running the wizard step 2 of 9:

One or more configuration settings failed. Completed configuration settings
will not be rolled back. Resolve the problem and run this configuration
wizard again. The following contains detailed information about the failure:

Failed to create the configuration database.

An exception of type System.Management.ManagementException was thrown.
Additional exception information: Initialization failure

It also include a log path but I can't see anything to debug in the log
content
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server
Extensions\12\LOGS\PSCDiagnostics_2_7_2009_9_45_25_984_1541742907.log

May I know if anyway has experience on that?

Hi Carlos,

Please go to the database server and check that the following
databases where deleted:

- SharePoint_AdminContent_XXXX
- SharePoint_Config

If you want to make a clean installation you can also delete the other
databases
- ProjectServer _XXXX
- WSS_Content***
