Urgent! Datatbase is emptied but still shows taking up the same amount of Mbs.

Hi all,

I had a database that took up 0.99 Gb of data. System
prompted me that the limit of 1 Gb is nearing and I am
unable to key in any more data.

However when I tried doing a tranfer of tables to a new
database to decrease the size of the original database, it
does not help. The original database still shows that it
is taking up 0.99 Gb even though there is no more data in
the database.

Does anyone know why is there such a problem and can it be
rectified?

You need to compact the database. You should be doing this on a regular
basis. On the menubar choose:

Tools ... Database Utilities ... Compact Database
