Urgent Help - 2003 to 2007 Powerpoint

I have a branded Excel graph embedded in a branded ppt 2003, but when I have
to make to further edits in 2007, all the colors, styles, etc reset to
generic Excel styles and colors, and I ended up having to recreate the graph
from scratch to do the edits and save formatting work. Anyone run across
similar?

Try not converting. When you double-click to edit the chart, you should be
prompted to "convert chart," or "convert all charts," or "edit existing."
Try "edit existing" instead.

If you don't even want to be prompted, you can use this registry hack so
that you can continue to use the 2003 charting engine in 2007.

I did not get any prompt. Is there is an option setting in 2007 which
auto-converts embedded objects.

If you've already edited the charts in 2007, then you won't be prompted
again.

I did not get any prompt message even before opening in 2007. Something went
wrong somewhere.
