Urgent!lost saved emails after scanpst.exe - how can I get them ba

Hello,

I ran scanpst.exe with my outlook closed.
I did this on the outlook.ost and outlook0.ost files (humm, maybe wasn't a
good idea...).
I selected the backup option and I have backup files
I then restarted the computer and kept working.

I realize only now (much later!) that I've lost all the draft message that I
done since almost a day.
As I had saved them, I expect they are in the backup file.

My question is : how can I retrieve those message while preserving all the
work I've done since ?
If I use the back-up, while outlook reopen as before the scan ?

For future reference; you should use scanpst.exe to scan pst-files and
scanost.exe to scan ost-files.

Anyway, since you've made a backup, simply rename your current ost-files to
..new and you old pst-files to .ost
Start Outlook and save the messages (in msg-format) that you were missing.
Close Outlook and rename your ost-files to .old and your .new files to .ost
Start Outlook again and drag and drop your msg-files from where you saved
them into Outlook.
