Hi -
Is it possible to have project sites under different url paths, such as the
followng:
//servername/programs/program1/project1
//servername/programs/program1/project2
//servername/programs/program2/project1
//servername/programs/program2/project2
//servername/projects/project1
This does not seem possible to me, due to the inflexibility of project
server relative to creating your own urls for projects (everything goes under
/sites? Yuk.) and the negative effects of manipulating the url under the
"Creat sites under..." input box in the Manage Sites page (see my previous
posts).
It does not make sense that you can create sub sites under a top level site
using the project template, yet not be able to connect these sites to a
workplan in the project server due to the fact that the url is not under the
/sites path. Managed paths did not resolve this problem, or at least I could
not solve the proble manipulating managed paths on the WSS side.
Does anyone have a fix for this? I need this urgently.
Thanks
Jim Barnes
